Author Article: Chirasree Bose

Hello author, on behalf of all the readers, we would like to discuss something about you and of course, your book as well.  This conversation will help reader to know more about you and your debut book.

Criticspace: Most welcome to Criticspace, Author. We heartily congratulate you for being a published author. It’s really a great achievement. First thing, we would like to know about your basic info as a person, daily life, career so far and anything you would like to share about you with your readers.

Author: My life is as simple as anybody else’s. Being a published author doesn’t really change anything. I go to work every morning, do my job throughout the day, and come back home to finally have some ‘me’ time. Yes, it’s pretty simple and boring (maybe, to some of you). However, the only difference is that I am living my dream every moment of my life. And that dream was made true by ‘Done With Her…’. I have seen people often describing themselves as ‘engineer by profession writer by passion’. However, I take pride in saying that I am a writer, editor, and engineer by profession. That’s all I can tell you about myself. Yes, that’s not much. But this is who I am. I’d rather want you to know me through my written words.

Criticspace: That’s really great; please tell us something about your journey of becoming an author. When you actually started writing and how was the circumstance? Did any person or situation influenced you to write your debut book or was it your childhood hobby of writing?

Author: My journey as a writer started back in 2016. Yes, I had written some frivolous stuff before that as well. But they were only a part of my childhood hobby. I realised that it is my passion only about 3 years back. It was a funny day. I had this sudden urge for writing something down. It seemed weird. Of course, it was out of the blue. I fought the feeling for a long time and eventually gave in to it. It was only after I had written down some 1000 words that I realised what I got myself into. I knew right at that moment that this is what I’d do for life. I still remember it vividly because, well, I can never forget about it. That day changed my life forever. I have never been as much self-motivated about anything else. It’s my love for writing that influenced me to pen down this debut book.

Criticspace: Please tell the reader something about your book. What is your message to those readers who have still not read the book? Why they should pick it up for reading?

Author: Done With Her… is my debut book. It’s a novella comprising 98 pages. This Romance Thriller revolves around two main characters Avesh and Spreeha. While Avesh fears his past, Spreeha makes him dread the future. And, who is this Spreeha? She is the protagonist, of course. But, is she? What secret does she hold in her dead eyes?

Pick this book up if you love thrillers. Also, because unlike many thrillers out there, this book conveys an imperative message. This story is based on a heinous crime often committed in our country. It’s the USP of this book.

Criticspace: And yes, the most important thing we would like to hear from you is what is your message to those new writers who have not yet started their journey of becoming an author? You have been their source of motivation, please convey your thoughts with them.

Author: Every writer should believe in what they write. It’s impossible to make everyone happy with it. And they should remember that it’s okay. Taking your story through the publishing process requires immense trust in your own writing style. Do not blindly follow what successful authors are doing. Focus on what you are good at. Work on it. At one point, you’ll get the reward. Criticspace: That’s really great! We wish you all good luck for your literature career.
