BABIE: The Beings of Light – Book Review

Book Title and Book Cover
I found the title of the book really endearing and sweet. The cover too was soothing and simple.

Theme
Poetry is an intricate mix of emotions on paper and portraying all those emotions isn’t a cakewalk every time but the poet has beautifully expressed all his emotions with ample lights on various other dimensions as well.

I have been looking for a good poetry book since a really long time and my search finally ended here. This anthology like most other anthologies is a collection of the multitudes of emotions of the poet at different points in time but unlike other anthologies, it had poetry on varied themes instead of focusing on just one.

There were poems on romance, science, psychology, mystery, humor and even on astronomy. I am sure one wouldn’t find an anthology with such diverse themes.

Since I am a poetry lover, for me a good poem is something which brings a smile on my face. Even if it’s a sad one, I should have something to take back with me and this book did that for me.

My favorite poem among all the rest would be The Sky, I liked the poet’s perception of the humungous being, i.e. the sky and the way he has expressed it.

Over all, it is a good light read for any reader, especially for poetry lovers and one would have something to take back once the book ends.

Narration
I liked the narration as it was fine and simple without much exaggeration.
Most of the poems were flowing very easily thus making it a very lovely read.

Language & Grammar
The language was simple and without any unnecessary use of outlandish or archaic words.
The usage of vocabulary too was good enough.

Final Verdict
Book Title: 4/5
Book Cover: 3.5/5
Theme: 4/5
Narration: 3.5/5
Language & Grammar: 4/5
Final Rating: 4/5
